Palaiochori – Neochori hike
A crossing along the "Kamila" trail that linked the two mountain villages of Halkidiki, co-organised with the Aris Palaiochori Athletic Club.
On Sunday 9 November 2025, Aristotelis Nature Experience and the Aris Palaiochori Athletic Club organised a hike from Palaiochori to Neochori along the "Kamila" trail, with the support of the Municipality of Aristotelis and the Communities of Neochori and Palaiochori.
The route
The walk started at 11:00 from the central square of Palaiochori with a short tour of the Church of the Archangels and the historic Zorbas house. The trail runs through forests of ancient oak, beech and chestnut, passing the old stone bridge at "Mana", the spring, "Kastelloudi", the "Kamila" summit and the "Tzolian" spring, before ending in the central square of Neochori with food and refreshments.
